Just playing outside...

This one will be quick because I am late for MDO but I just had to document some of Preston's pics from playing outside last week! He likes his new trike Daddy bought him (picked it out all by himself I will have to brag...) but his feet don't QUITE reach the pedals so he enjoys riding up an incline and then rolling backwards :) He also LOVES bubbles, and of course his little basketball goal. This weather has been so beautiful and I hope you have been able to ENJOY!

Garage sales and such.....

Growing up, my Mom always sold our gently used outgrown things in garage sales. I thought everyone had garage sales. Anyway, I have taken up this tradition in adulthood and so has Jeff. What we don't sell, we take to Goodwill, but we do try to have a sale once every couple of years..
This year was our first year with Paky! We really appreciate Kevin for letting us have the big event at his house--and I am SO SORRY for oversleeping and not showing up until about 6:45..
Paky was helping us load up for Goodwill. He LOVED playing with the trash can on his head :)

Orange Beach Adventure

Words just really can't describe how grateful and honored Jeff and I both were to be guests of Katie and Cullen Clark last weekend at a new multiple family condo in Orange Beach!!! The condo is more accurately described as a luxury apartment, as I have never seen a beach condo like it before :) We enjoyed the downtime, the sunshine and mostly the great fun with our group. The Halls(who are actually owners) and The Hunts also joined in on the fun, and I think none will forget our good time soon....
Hope you are having a good week!
P.S. I added the pic of Jeff and his "boom box" because he got cut out of the group pic....sorry Jeff!
P.S.S Thanks again to Grandfather and Gran-Gran for keeping Paky so this was even POSSIBLE!!
P.S.S.S. I'll never live down needing to take a shift in the backseat....

"Paky"

pah-kee, Noun. 1) the name to which Preston now refers to himself. "Preston, what is your name?" asks Mommy. "PAKY!" replies Preston.

He has been calling himself this for awhile-we spend a lot of time looking in the mirror and looking at picutures-and even Jeff did not think I was serious at first. But there is NO denying it now. Be sure to ask him what his name is the next time you see him :)

Oh, about the picture. I took Preston Tuesday afternoon to have his first Humphrey yogurt treat at Counter Culture. It is plain vanilla yogurt (the bittersweet kind), honey, bananas, strawberries, grapes and granola and it is DELICIOUS! Let's just say if you ever take him and you are hungry at all you might should spring for the medium instead of the small. The boy can eat is all I'm sayin'......

Hope you are enjoying this PERFECT day :) Hooray, the pollen is GONE!!!

Happy Easter!

We have had a great Easter season at the Parker house! We spent the day in Winnfield yesterday with Nana, Pops, Aunt K-K, Mr. (soon to be Uncle!!!) Kevin, Gran, Papa, D-D and the Areingdales. Preston LOVED playing with Read, and continues to be more enamored with guys--he really loves PAPA!
This morning, Preston was excited to see he had been visited by the Easter Bunny. Growing up, we just got candy and maybe one special toy for Easter so I have decided to carry on that tradition. It's too bad his eyes are closed in the picture, but I included it for Aunt K-K! One funny note about the Easter loot is that Preston is STILL cutting his bottom eye teeth and chewed up his new Nerf football before we got ready to go to church........oh well....
After we all got dressed, we went to worship at Trinity then had a delicious lunch at Squire Creek with Resa. Preston was a prince at lunch, and we took a few shots of him afterward on the grounds. Isn't he adorable in his new Easter duds?
We hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter and were reminded of the miracle we are celebrating..CHRIST is RISEN!
