Happy Easter!

We have had a great Easter season at the Parker house! We spent the day in Winnfield yesterday with Nana, Pops, Aunt K-K, Mr. (soon to be Uncle!!!) Kevin, Gran, Papa, D-D and the Areingdales. Preston LOVED playing with Read, and continues to be more enamored with guys--he really loves PAPA!
This morning, Preston was excited to see he had been visited by the Easter Bunny. Growing up, we just got candy and maybe one special toy for Easter so I have decided to carry on that tradition. It's too bad his eyes are closed in the picture, but I included it for Aunt K-K! One funny note about the Easter loot is that Preston is STILL cutting his bottom eye teeth and chewed up his new Nerf football before we got ready to go to church........oh well....
After we all got dressed, we went to worship at Trinity then had a delicious lunch at Squire Creek with Resa. Preston was a prince at lunch, and we took a few shots of him afterward on the grounds. Isn't he adorable in his new Easter duds?
We hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter and were reminded of the miracle we are celebrating..CHRIST is RISEN!

Just practicing for Easter...

We all on our Easter best yesterday for church, so I decided to stage a photo shoot. One day, I'm going to capture a smile, but that hasn't happened recently! Thought the pic of Jeff playing with him is PRICELESS :)

"I think he likes the ducks....!"

Preston and I were supposed to hunt eggs at Trinity today....it didn't quite work out like that. The church gym was transformed into a kiddie Easter extravaganza today--and the kids were having a blast. Preston Luke, however, was TRANSFIXED on the pick-up duck activity and essentially played in the water for an hour. The blog entry title was a quote from the young lady working the duck activity-ha! Anywhoo, when it was time to hunt eggs, he was sopping wet, cold and generally very cranky from being taken away from the aluminum pail with two inches of water and rubber ducks :) So no egg hunt. Maybe next year....
It was a pleasant surprise for Nana and Pops to call and say they were going to be in town this morning so Nana went to the gym with us. So when are we going to convince them just to MOVE to Ruston already???
On a side note Dr. Shelley started Preston on an antibiotic today. He had one on hold the Dr. had given me for just in case the last time he was sick and I never got it filled so I decided to today. He just has allergies like his mom and the congestion sets up in his chest every time. Please say a prayer this knocks it out!

School Days

Preston is absolutely in love with his MDO teachers, Mrs. Erin and Mrs. Velissa--as is very evident by this picture Mrs. Erin posted on facebook today! I could not resist posting it--I LOVE THIS SMILE!!

Getting ready for Easter!

Because both of Preston's MDO teachers have older children with Easter festivities of their own on Thursday, they decided to hold the class Easter party today. Preston was of course dressed for the occasion in a precious hand-me-down from his second cousin William--I could not BE more grateful! It fit just perfectly. Anyway, we have been working at home on "hiding" and "finding" eggs, and according to his teachers Preston had the egg hunt thing down PAT. Now, I am sure that had NOTHING to do with some of the eggs being stuffed with jelly beans...........
Hope you are having a great week!

Stomach virus ???

This is certainly not happy information to post, but I want to chronicle Preston's life and yesterday's (maybe) stomach virus is part of it!!! Preston had gone to Nana and Pop's to spend the night--we were planning on meeting for a Cole/Farr family day the next day-but we got a call Saturday morning to come to Winnfield ASAP. Because you might be eating, I won't go into the gory details, but I think as far as stomach bugs go this was a pretty mild one. THANKFULLY it looks as if the grown-ups are going to escape unscathed..
Pictured is when Preston was starting to feel better, but I still asked him to hold his "BOLD." When he started to feel good and run around again, he refused to and handed it right back to me--and I have never been so happy!!!
And on a totally unrelated note, please say a prayer tonight for the Kilpatrick family. They lost their patriarch, Mr. K.D. today from a short but very hard battle with brain cancer. He is most certainly in a better place, but I would appreciate your prayers for his precious family.
Love to all,
shelley

Trip to the park--took me a week to post!

Hello to all! I took these pictures LAST week-honestly I can't recall during which trip-but I am just now sitting down to blog. We have been pretty busy around here, with baby showers, wedding parties, and Spring festivities getting into full swing. As you can tell, it is not easy to get a still shot, so these aren't the BEST pictures, but I thought you might like to see how Preston can actually PLAY on the playgroung now. Much love to my blog followers :)
