Never say never......

Well, I never would have thought I would be posing for pregnancy belly shots! However, since some have asked to see just how Preston and I look at 30 weeks, I decided to oblige. Jeff was even excited to take the picture-he said we needed some pictures of me pregnant! Hope everyone is having a great summer :)

Jeff's first Father's Day

We had a great weekend in Winnfield celebrating Father's Day! Mom, Kendal, and I sang Point of Grace's "One More Broken Heart" at FBC Winnfield this morning for my dad--I never can look at him though or I will start crying. Aunt Kendal even got Jeff his first Dad's day gift, a precious book titled "Daddies are for Catching Fireflies." Thanks Aunt Kendal! I am so grateful for all of the Christian father's who have influenced my life. Happy Father's Day to you all!

Happy 6th Anniversary

Jeff and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary this weekend. Wow! Time sure flies when you are having fun. Jeff has been out of town for two weeks attending the Graduate School of Banking in Baton Rouge, so I was mostly excited to finally have hime home Friday. (So was Preston Luke!) We celebrated Saturday night with a wonderful dinner at SAGE in Monroe and of course a TCBY yogurt cake :)

Welcome Davis DeMoss

Our good friends, Todd and Amanda DeMoss, stopped by Saturday and brought their new addition, Johnson "Davis" DeMoss. Of course, big sister Murphy was also in tow! It was so precious to see Jeff holding him, just a taste of what it will be like to see him holding Preston :)

Wedding Weekend in New Orleans

Jeff and I had a great time celebrating his childhood friend Matt Colvin's wedding in New Orleans this weekend. We stayed in the French Quarter at the Hotel Monteleone-a beautiful hotel! Since the rehearsal was on Thursday, we had Friday to relax and enjoy some shopping and dining in New Orleans. (pregnant girl + cafe du monde = bliss) The wedding and reception at the Southern Oaks Plantation were very nice. Mostly, we enjoyed just spending some time with friends that we rarely get to see!

Last visit to the Perinatologist! Hooray!

Preston Luke and I have "graduated" from the perinatologist today!! Even though I know in my heart that absolutely nothing is wrong with him, I selfishly wanted one more Level II ultrasound to get a look at what he is up to in my tummy. He weighs 1 lb 8 oz right now, which the ultrasound tech told me is in the 75th percentile for his gestational age. Looks like he will be a big baby boy :) All my praises to God for His mighty work!

Weekend in Chicago

Jeff and I had a wonderful long weekend in Chicago. We enjoyed seeing the musical Wicked ("the untold story of the wicked witch of the west"), catching a Cubs game (they won), and of course we spent some time on Michigan Avenue! Also, I had my OB appointment last week and everything is going along just perfectly. Preston moves ALL THE TIME and especially enjoys Mexican food and chocolate-like his mom :) Happy Spring!
